Astigmatism
Astigmatism is a term that relates to the curvature of the front surface of the eye. For many years patients with astigmatism have been unable to achieve acceptable vision through the use of contact lenses. However, changes in lens manufacturing and design have increased the success rate of astigmatic contact lens wearers to levels comparable to non-astigmats.
